WYANET - Helen Thomas, 88, of Wyanet passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Helen was born Aug 1, 1927, in Princeton to Clyde and Mabel (Trimmer) Kitterman. She married Gale Thomas in Princeton in 1954.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting with her friends. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls fan. She also loved to watcher her grandson's baseball games. She was a member of the Princeton Elks Lodge and Women of the Moose.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Kay Olds of Dallas, Texas, and Patti (Greg) Schmitt of Princeton; one son, Howard Thomas of Wyanet; two sisters, Norma DeRose and Joann Allen, both of Princeton; two grandsons, Daniel and Andrew Schmitt of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers, Irving, Donnie and Ward; and three sisters, Irma Bruce, Nina Norine and Vera Miller.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton with Pastor Marvin Claassen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Wyanet.
Memorials may be directed to Wyanet Rescue Unit.
