Joe Arndt of 902 South B died Thursday in McAlester Regional hospital. He was 81. Arndt was a retired farmer and member of the Holiness Church. Born Sept. 2, 1984 in McAlester, he attended McAlester and Wilburton schools and married Dicie Burks at Sherman, Tex. on Mar. 7, 1973. Survivors include his wife, Dicie, of the home; six daughters, Ellen Cummins of Moore, Josephine Rosson, Rodeo, Calif., Catherine Todd of Washington state, Kathy Smith, Shirley Dickson and Kay Burks all of McAlester; a son, Otis Burks, Fort Riley, Kans.; 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mills Chapel. Rev. Frank Dimiceli is to officiate. Burial will be in Blue Cemetery, with Mills Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be James and Tim Arndt, Jerry Don Barns, Dilbert Dickson, Gene Schroggins and Don Clifton.
