Parks, Darrell D.; age 88; of 3767 S. Shepherd Road, Mt. Pleasant; passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 while at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd at 1 p.m. with Randell Roose officiating. There will be Visitation on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 2 to 8 p.m. He was born May 8, 1927 in Holt Michigan. He married Annetta Ruth Sandel November 22, 1947. She preceded him in death February 11, 1980. Together they had 7 children, James Darrell Parks who preceded Darrell in death December 31, 1964, Kathie (Howard) Stanke, Jack (Jan) Parks, Connie (Greg) Ross, Jeff (Sandy) Parks, Joel (Amy) Parks, and Amy (Joseph) Nawrocki; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Darrell married his second wife, Mary (Hyde) Parks in 1983. She preceded him in death September 21, 2012. Darrell was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Donald Ray Thering and Macey Rae Thering. The Family would like to thank the entire staff of the Mt. Pleasant Medical Care Facility for their compassionate, outstanding care. Memorials may be given to the Isabella County Commission on Aging.
