Lois Louise Packer, 85, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at her grandson's home in Barryton, Michigan.
Funeral services for Lois will be held on Monday, April 14th at 11 a.m. from Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Pastor Sharon Osmond officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Cancer Services or Commission on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Lois was born on June 7, 1922 in Holt, Michigan, the daughter of Walter and Elva (Welling) Parks. She worked for Evart Products for 12 years before retiring on 1976. Lois married Don Packer. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Lois loved riding her bicycle, bird watching, flower gardening and reading.
Lois is survived by her son, Donald (Christie) Dunlop of Tustin, MI; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Darrel (Mary) Parks of Mt. Pleasant and step-children, Kay (John) Olson of Mt. Pleasant, Aggie Packer of Coleman and Ray (Anita) Packer of Mt. Pleasant and their extended families.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Don; daughters, Linda Mann and Susan McNeal; brother, Jack Parks in the Korean War; sister, Betty Schleigh and step-son, Gary (Betty) Packer.
