CANTON - Linda Kathryn Phillips, 66, of Canton, formerly of Portsmouth, died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
She was born May 14, 1949 in Canton, a daughter of the late John Albert and Freda Edna Mae Fasnot Matheson.
She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Cleveland Phillips Sr., October 23, 2010; three stepsons, Paul Ray, Alan Wade, and Samuel Cleveland Phillips Jr.; six sisters, Violet, Doris, Helen, Betty, Virginia, and Carol; six brothers, Albert, Russell, Larry, Ronald, Robert, and Donald Matheson.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Ann Phillips of Canton; one grandson, Jacob James Phillips; eight step-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; one step-daughter, Rhonda (Carl) Thatcher of Wheelersburg; three sisters, Catherine Johnson of Medina, Marilyn Sheaks of North Canton, and Donna Matheson of Alliance; and two brothers, James Matheson of Alliance and Charles Matheson of Canton.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 in Scioto Cemetery on Cockrell's Run with Maurice Pierce officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
