Ruth D. Perkins, of Reedsburg, passed away at the age of 72 years 8 months and 3 days on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at the Tomah VA Medical Center following a short battle with cancer.
Ruth, the daughter of Claude and Carrie (Hostetlar) Agens, was born on September 5, 1943, in Ridgway, Pennsylvania.
Ruth was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1961-1966 attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.
She worked for the Pennsylvania State Park System for over 26 years until her retirement.
Ruth was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles Club in Ridgway. She enjoyed playing bingo and doing word searches.

There will be a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016, at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Robert Butler officiating.
Military rites will follow the service provided by the Reedsburg American Legion.
Interment will be in the Blue River Cemetery.
