Geneva Ellen Mason Curtis, 89, of Athens, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at her residence.

A daughter of the late Lester Mason and Clara Martin, she was also preceded in death by her husband, T.I. Curtis Sr.; son, David Curtis; brother, Norman Mason; sister, Alma Benedict; and grandsons, Stanley Dan Reed, and Ira Curtis.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, T.I. Curtis Jr. and Joyce; daughter, Linda Curtis; brothers, Edward Mason and Earnest Mason; sisters, Eva Jo Smith, Carolyn Green, and Wanda Mason; grandchildren, Carl and Leanne King, and Angela and Elmer "Hotrod" Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jaclyn Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Elizabeth Carpenter, Jordan McPhail, Shannon McPhail, Christian King, Nathan King, Nicole McDermot, Corbin King, Jarrett King, Morgan King, and Joclyn King; nephews, Billy Curtis and Charley Curtis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor David Wendt officiating.

Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

Elmer "Hotrod" Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Christian King, David Burger, Byron Farmer, Shawn Scott and Don Brogden will serve as pallbearers.

Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
