Martha Davies Dies Thursday; Funeral Monday
Mrs. Martha Jane Davies, 78, 2035 South K street died at her home at 6:30 o'clock Thursday evening of complications following an illness of one year.
Born Mar. 15, 1871 in Swansea, South Wales, England, she was the daughter of James and Ann Roberts. She married Thomas Davies Oct. 22, 1892. Mrs. Davies was a member of First Baptist church.
Survivors include the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Pritchard of Elwood; a brother, John Roberts of Lansing, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Chidcoy of Swansea, South Wales, England; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body is at Clark Chapel where friends may call.
Funeral services will be held at Clark's Chapel Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. R. W. Sage, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be made in Elwood City cemetery.
