David James Davies, 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Davies, died at their home at 2035 South K Street at 2:10 o'clock this morning, of diphtheria and complications. The young man made a gallant fight against the disease and his physician worked heroically to save his life but the efforts were unavailing.
David James Davies was born to this city and has spent all of his life here. He was known as a companionable, industrious young man and had many friends who greatly regret to learn of the ending of this promising life. He is survived by the parents, one brother, Thomas, a student at Indiana University, and one sister, Lillian, at home.
Funeral services will be conducted at the late residence in South K Street, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The burial will be in the city cemetery.
