MARTIN, Nelson Peacefully passed away, with Vera at his side, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at his residence in Heidelberg, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Vera (Metzger) Martin for almost 60 years. Dear father of Richard and Toni, Gary and Deb, Michael, Marilyn and Dave Weber, and Denise Martin. Also lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother and brother-in-law of Cindy and Lorne Bolger, Urias and Sarah Martin, Elvina Woolner, Edwin Metzger, Abner and Ann Martin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Nelson and Mary Ann (Westfall) Martin, stepfather David Martin, sister Mary Ann Metzger, brother-in-law Leonard Woolner, and nephew Gerald Woolner. Nelson was a faithful employee for over 62 years at Hoffman Feeds which later became Jones Feed Mill in Heidelberg. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, on Wednesday (tonight) from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, 1310 King St. N., St. Jacobs, on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery.
