Funeral services for J V Wilson, 78 of Elkhart, will be held 3:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2016, at First Congregational Methodist of Elkhart, with Rev. Barney Walker officiating.
Burial will follow in Family of Faith Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.
Mr. Wilson passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at his home.
He was born September 27, 1937, in Anderson County to Henry Calvin Wilson and Jewel Ellen Walling Wilson.
He was a plumber and a member of First Congregational Methodist Church of Elkhart.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sarah Fincher, brothers, Roy, Rafe, H.C. and Lonnie Wilson, and grandson Brenton Multer.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Jane Wilson of Elkhart, daughters Carolyn Multer and husband Bob, Linda Gholson and husband James, son Dwayne Wilson all of Palestine, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Allen Gholson, Adam Gholson, Alex Gholson, Jace Wilson, Bobby Multer and Cody Multer.
Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
