Funeral services for H.C. Wilson 85 of Elkhart, will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at Family of Faith Church, with Rev. Mike Gary and Rev. David Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.

Mr. Wilson passed away Monday in Elkhart. He was born June 25, 1927 in Houston County to Henry Calvin Wilson and Jewell Walling.

He served in the Army during WWII and was former County Commissioner for 20 years.

He was the owner of Wilson Culverts.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sarah Fincher, brothers; Roy, Lonnie and Rafe Wilson, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dr. Betty S. Wilson, daughter Brenda Henderson, sons Larry Wilson, Roy Almand and Sam Almand, brother J.V. Wilson, all of Elkhart, fourteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.
