Rosie Anderson was born in Hudson Township, Douglas County on December 16, 1892, the daughter of Fred and Minnie Lemke Miller. She attended school and grew to womanhood in Hudson Township.
On June 17, 1914 she was united in marriage to Emil Anderson. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, lived in Spruce Hill Township, residing there until a few years ago. Mr. Anderson preceded her in death in 1941.
Mrs. Anderson passed away at the Bethany Home on Tuesday, August 19, 1980 at the age of 87 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mildred Peterson of Alexandria, Minnesota, and one son Norman Anderson of Sanford, Maine; also surviving are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Viola Dyrud of Osakis, Minnesota and one brother, Fred Miller of Hudson Township. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Myrtle Anderson; brothers: George, Frank, Emil, and Herman, two sisters: Mary and Minnie.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 22, 1980, 10 a.m. at the Bethany Home, Alexandria, Minnesota with Dr. Ervin Malm officiating. Interment was in the Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria, MN.
Pallbearers were William Busch, Charles Dyrud, Donald Busch, Merlin Beheng and Marvin Dahl.
Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
