Mrs. Mary Pero passed away at her home in Alexandria township on September 13, 1942 at six twenty in the afternoon, and was at the time of her death, fifty-six yers, ten months and twenty eight days. She had been in failing health the past year. In 1927 she was married to John Pero. Surviving are the following children: Edward Sullivan of Minneapolis; Thomas Sullivan of Hopkins; Ernest Sullivan, also of Minneapolis; Vernon Sullivan of Camp Stoneman, California; Florence and Mildred Pero at home.
Five brothers and three sisters also survive: George Miller of Hudson, Frank Miller of Alexandria township, Emil Miller of Hudson, Rosie (Mrs. Emil Anderson) of Miltona, Fred Miller of Hudson, Herman Miller of Alaska, Minnie (Mrs. Adolph Busch) of Hudson, Viola (Mrs. Wm. Dyrud) of Osakis. There are five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 15th at two o'clock from the Anderson Funeral home, with Rev. C. E. Hansen officiating. Interment took place in Kinkead cemetery.
