Hazel Dwight Hawkins, 77, of Prosperity, died April 15, 2016 at his residence. Born in Prosperity, he was a son of the late Dwight Berley and Geneva Haltiwanger Hawkins. He was the retired owner of Hazel Hawkins Logging. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and a charter member of Mid-Carolina Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Leonia Bumgardner Hawkins; a son, Cale Ashley Hawkins; daughters, Wendy Hawkins Johnson of Irmo, and Dena Hawkins (Bob) Pollard of Newberry; a sister, Jane Hawkins Buzhardt; brothers, Stanley (Zalia) Hawkins of Pomaria, Tony (Debbie) Hawkins of Lexington; grandchildren, Tristyn Richardson, Austin Pollard, and Matthew Pollard.
Memorial services: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
