Paul Simon was born in 1906 in East Harlem, New York, the sixth child of Paul Simon and Gabriella (Pataki) Simon. Tragically, in the spring of 1911, he fell off a tenement building at 125 E. 130th St. Manhattan.

He died on 5 May 1911 in Harlem Hospital. It is unclear if he died at the time of the accident or a few days later, because he was baptized through the City Mission Society in Harlem on 1 May 1911 -- this is the likely date of the accident.

Little Paul was buried in Middle Village, New York. Three others share the same grave: Sevenie Hansen (11 Jul 1895), Caroline & Fred Siebel's stillborn (16 Sep 1911), and Richard Green (17 Oct 1912).

The Simons had a son who was three months old at the time of Paul's death. They had named him Alexander, but went on to call him Paul Alexander to honor his brother.
