Ethel Gusta Bishop was born on March 12, 1908 according to the information in her baptismal record in Portage Township, Aitkin County, Minnesota. (The year given in the inscription on her gravestone's nameplate is incorrect.) Ethel was baptized on August 1, 1908 in Aitkin County, Minnesota, in a Lutheran Church. Her father was Joseph Bishop and her mother was Gertrude Naas.

She was a Canadian upon her arrival in Canada in early 1909. In 1916 she reported that she was Na(turalized) in Canada.
RETURN MIGRATION
Calculated year was about 1930. Parents arrived in USA without children on September 30, 1933. Census 1930 reported that she was a Citizen of the USA. She lived in Detroit, Michigan and shared a rented home with her sister, Myrtle.
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY
Ethel Gusta Bishop married Edwin Alexander Borg in 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. She reported on her marriage license that she was 28 years old, and that she was a Bookkeeper. She had a daughter, Audrey Marilyn, with Edwin Alexander Borg in 1937.
RELIGIONS
Ethel was baptized and married in Lutheran churches. Census 1921 reported that she was Lutheran. During her residence in Texas with her husband, she was a Baptist.

She was buried in Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas. Her husband was buried in the same gravesite. In a different gravesite in the same cemetery, her brother, Stanley was later buried.
