Joseph married Anna Bruns (Sister to Katherine Bruns Fischer) on 10/22/1895. Their children were: Andrew, Alphnse, Joseph, Norbert, Elinore, and Roman. Joseph was working at his own granite quarry a few years before his death when a cable snapped and broke both of his legs. He then went to work for the Melrose Granite Co as a foreman. He died when a 3,000 pound block of granite fell over 100 feet and crushed him.
