Died -
After a painful illness of nearly two weeks, Mrs. Fred Stueck, maiden
name Mary Nickols, laid down the burdens of life and passed away to a
better home far beyond. It was on Saturday morning while surrounded by
the mourning husband and children that she breathed her last breath.
Drs. Frazer, Aby and Christiansen had attended her through her illness
but all medical skill was without avail to save the dying mother. The
deceased was born in Germany in 1849 and has lived in the county since
1856. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her as a lady of honesty
and hospitality and her death carries great sorrow to her many friends
and relatives. She is survived by her father and mother, husband and six
children, all residents of this county. The funeral will take place on
Tuesday from the Two Rivers St. John's Lutheran Church of which she was
a devout member.
