Jerry graduated from Port Huron High School and served his Country in the National Guard. He farmed on the 130-year-old family farm with his brother Don, nephew Marty and grandnephew Charlie. His favorite place on the farm was the tool shed where he could pursue his interest in antique engines and tractors. His love of the land was well known to his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth Drompp of Port Huron; his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Patricia) Lewis of North Street; a sister-in-law, Anne Lewis of Grand Rapids; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and long time friend, Vicki Hunt of Caro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel Lewis and Russel Lewis; a sister, Anna M. McWilliams; and two brothers, Alex E. and Dr. Alvin R. Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 23, 2006 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Daniel Bakay will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
