Nona May Jaynes, age 77 of Seymour, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 19, 2016.

Born April 22, 1938, she was the daughter of Alvin and Florence (McFatridge) Hallett. On December 8, 1962, she married Wilbur D. Jaynes.

Nona was retired from H.O. Canfield where she worked as a splicer. She was a member of the Seymour Seventh Day Adventist and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed working with crafts, reading, going to the park to watch softball, watching football and especially the Colts and Peyton Manning. Nona also really loved being with her grandkids.

She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Wilbur; children, Dale (Maria) Caplinger of Laredo, TX, Debra (Chris) Caplinger-Ward of Westfield, Janet (Ernie) Davidson of Seymour and Joyce (Charles) Early of Saucier, MS; her grandchildren, Kandle (Jason) Hall, Chris (Nicole) Caplinger, Craig (Jessica) Caplinger, Cameron Caplinger, Willard Freeman II, Brent Freeman, Seth (Betsy) Davidson, Wendee Pickett, Lindsay Couch, Jessica Downs and Cory Ward; great-grandchildren, Noah, Sydney, Peyton, Eric, Ezra, Warren, Michael, Chloe, John, Emily , Addie, Marcus, Jace and Jasmine.

Nona was preceded in death by her parents; ten brothers and sisters; and great-granddaughter, Laikyn Fields.

Services will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre.
