THOMAS CHASTAIN DIES AT HOSPITAL

Thomas Cleveland Chastain,76, of 1938 Mulberry Avenue
died early this morning at Anniston Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4
O'clock at the Congregational Holiness Church, the Rev.
C.W. Allison, Walker Brack, J.D. Bryant, J.W.Gaine
officiating. Burial will be in Hall's Cemetery. Usrey in
charge.
He is survived by two sons, T.A. Chastain of Rome, Ga.;
and Curley Chastain of Anniston; four daughters, Mrs. L.
T. Pitts, and Mrs. Mattie Lu Blackburn of Anniston; Mrs.
R.B. Tanner of Cedartown, Ga. and Mrs. A.J. Bullard of
Anniston; two brothers, Willie Chastain of Chattanooga and
Alex Chastain of Cedartown; four sisters Mrs. M.A. Sorrells
and Mrs. A.J. Sanders of Cedartown; Mrs. Scott Lewis and Mrs.
Woodard Chandler of Chattanooga, and 23 grandchildren and 30
great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Henry Smith, Russell Williams,
Tommy Murphy, Oscar Lane, L.C. and Fred Ford.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Mr. Gardner, Luther
Harrison, the Rev. B.L. Cox, Oscar Walker, the Rev.
L.B. Hall, and the Rev. L.D. Spence.
