William Yerk, 75-year-old retired molder living at 1414 East Main Street, died at his home at 7:30 o'clock Monday night of complications after an illness of three years.
Mr. Yerk was born in Belleville, April 8, 1859, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Yerk, both of whom are dead. He was married to Catherine Eschmann in Belleville 40 years ago. She survives.
The deceased also leaves one son, William Yerk Jr., of 1414a East Main Street; one daughter, Myrtle, wife of Arthur Klein, of 2020 Roosevelt Avenue; three brothers: Henry, Gus and George Yerk, of Belleville; two sisters: Anna, wife of Fred Dressler of Belleville and Mrs. Margaret Frey of Chicago and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Gaerdner Funeral Home to Walnut Hill Cemetery. Rev. D. C. Boyd, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, will conduct the services.
