Born in Barnerville, N.Y., Hazel was the daughter of Byron Bedent Moore and his wife, Harriet May Tryon. She married Willard Aker and they had one child, Douglas Willard Aker.

Mrs. Aker was a cashier during the 1930's and 1940's at the Howe Caverns Gift Shop and dining room. She moved to the Syracuse area 1956. Mrs. Aker was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cobleskill since 1926. Survivors include her husband and son...."
Her husband retired as VP of Swarthmore Paint Co. and had previously been foreman at Harder Refrigeration Co.
