Donald R. McEwin, 66, passed away Oct. 3, 2006. He was born Jan. 23, 1940 in Calvin, OK to Henry & Ethel McEwin. Lovingly called Daddy, PaPa, and Uncle Don, he was a loving husband to his wife Joyce for 48 years and a loving father, grandfather, and a very proud great grandfather.

A retiree of the OKC Fire Dept., Don was affectionately known to all his fellow firefighters as 'Jelly Don.' In his spare time, Don was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing music & singing with his family whenever he could. God blessed Don with many things during his lifetime, but one thing that stands out to all was his tender heart.

He is survived by his wife Joyce; daughter Jeana & husband Bill Plumlee; daughter Connie; son Gary & wife April; grandson Billy Jr. & wife Shannon; grandson Chase; granddaughters: Tamara, Lacey, & Chelsea; great grandson, Trip; sisters: Novella Dean & Mary Katherine; and one brother, Howard Dwayne. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Leo & Gerald 'Fat' McEwin.

Services: Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 at Airport Assembly of God with burial following at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, OK.
