Howard Dwayne McEwin went to be with his Lord Jesus on Sunday, February 24, 2008. He was born on December 6, 1937 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Henry and Ethyl McEwin.

Dwayne is survived by his two daughters, Julie Hazen and Glenna McEwin. He was also survived by Eddy Sasnett, whom Dad loved like a son. He had three grandchildren, a granddaughter, Kristi Robidoux and husband Jonathan, two grandsons, Robbie McEwin Jr. and wife Hallie and Kenny McEwin, three great-grandchildren, Mitchell McEwin, Abigayle McEwin and Kalista Robidoux. Dwayne is survived by his two sisters, Dean Mears and Mary Kennedy.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn McEwin, a son, Robbie McEwin Sr. and three brothers, Leo, Gerald and Don.

Dad's greatest love was studying the Bible and talking scripture with family and friends. He served as a Pastor and Assistant Pastor in the United Pentecostal Church until he retired. He truly loved reading the Word of God and was responsible for leading many people to the Lord. He also loved fishing with Eddy and his brother, Don, and did so until his physical body would not allow it.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 26 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John Ireland Funeral Home in Moore, Oklahoma. Services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Apostolic Worship Center, 3221 N. Porter, Norman, Oklahoma.

Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Services under the direction of the John Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, Oklahoma.
