Aged Taylor Citizen Meets Sudden Death When Struck by Car
D.A. Wilson of Taylor, father of Mrs. Alfred Offield, formerly of this city, was struck by an automobile on one of the streets of Taylor last Saturday afternoon, receiving injuries from the effect of which he died that night. The car was driven by Mrs. Luther Sanders, and the accident was said to be unavoidable, as Mr. Wilson stepped in front of the car which was brought to a stop with the front wheel on his body. Decedent was 88 years of age and had lived in Taylor for many years. The interment was in the old Locklin Cemetery near San Gabriel, the services being conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. R.E. Roberts, pastor of the Rockdale Christian Church.
