William A. “Billy” Ackman, Jr., age 44, of Winchester, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 21, 2016 at his residence in Winchester.
He was born on June 26, 1971 in Winchester to William and Brenda (Platt) Ackman. He attended Winchester Community High School and was working as a service technician at Richards Buy, Sell and Trade in Winchester. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and helping others. He also worked in general construction and was a concrete finisher. Billy loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces.
Survivors include three children, Devin Ackman of Winchester, Timothy Ackman of Winchester and a daughter, Haley Fry of Winchester; three grandchildren, Xzavier Allen Lee Ackman, Jazzlynn Fry and Steven Fry; a brother, Rick Ackman (fiancé Kittora Courtney) of Winchester; a sister, Penny Ackman (fiancée Jerry Milligan) of Union City, IN; four nieces; three nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Carmen Ackman; an uncle, Art Ackman; and several cousins.
Funeral services for Billy will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Jeff Straley officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
