George Alfred (or Albert) Hacking was the 10th child of John Sampson Hacking and Jane Clark Hacking. He was born in Cedar Fort, Utah, Utah, USA. He married Francis Harriet Briggs and then they brought their young family to establish a ranch in the Magrath area in 1903. They raised their growing family here.
