Elisabetha Wilhelmina Ebert was born 1 Sep 1859 Heddesheim, Baden, Germany to Johann Jakob Ebert & Anna Catherina Massengarb.
Michael Gottfried Kohl & Elisabetha Wilhelmina Ebert married 22 Dec 1881 Mannheim, Heddesheim, Germany. Their first born named Jakob was born 2 Nov 1882 but died 2 weeks later.
On the 5 June 1883 Michael & Elisabetha boarded the Amalfi for their journey to South Australia arriving 12 Aug 1883. A stillborn son named John was born 10 Nov 1883. Michael and Elisabetha went on to have 5 more children, Annie Julie (1884-1953), Michael Gottfried (1887-1966), Elizabeth Wilhelmine (1888-1889), Carolina Wilhelmina (1890-1907) and Frederich Wilhelm (1894-1942). Of their 7 children only 3 reached adulthood. The losses of these children had a profound effect on their mother who was admitted to the Parkside Mental Hospital in Jan 1915 and died there in Jan 1923.
