UNFORTUNATELY I AM UNABLE TO TAKE ANY FURTHER PICS. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL ONLY BE FOR THE SHORT TERM
.
Recently retired (A little early) my wife and I now have more time to devote to our more than a hobby Genealogy.
.
We hope to travel Australia in our restored and converted 1957 Flxible Starliner Bus- hopefully by the end of 2022. We will then be taking requested pics from Cemeteries on our travels.
.
At present I am only concentrating on taking pics at Centennial Park Cemetery Adelaide, West Terrace Adelaide and a few of the smaller cemeteries closer to my home. If you are looking for Headstone pics from Centennial Park I would like to suggest the following.
.
1 - Look up the name of the person you are looking for on the Cemetery web site and check that it is the correct person.
.
2 - When you are sure you have the correct person, click on the PDF map download button. This is on the same line as the persons name - at the end of the line. This will open the location map of the person you are looking for.
.
3 - There is much information to gather from this map. Not only does it show the grave location but also everyone who is buried in that grave. You may find relatives you didn't know about etc.
.
4 - If you now have other names who are buried within the same grave, look them up on F.A.G. to see if they are listed or not. If not then you can create a memorial for them, link them to your original person as wife, husband, child etc and then request pics for them. As I will already have the pics I can get them to you immediately.
.
5 - All the above can also be done for the Adelaide Cemeteries Authority website for West Terrace, Enfield, Smithfield and Cheltenham Cemeteries. Doing this gives you THE WHOLE grave location not just an area. A volunteer is more likely to get the pic you want when they know exactly where to go.
.
By doing this you are going to get all the pics and all the headstone info for all the people buried within that grave at the same time saving yourself a lot of time.
.
If you have any special requests then just ask and I will try to accommodate them.
.
A note to all the volunteers who take and upload pics for me, and what a truly wonderful job you are doing. Please, when you are good enough to take pics for me Please Please Please do not use the information from the headstones to create memorials where none exist or edit/add to existing memorials. You are denying me a GREAT joy in doing it myself. Many thanks.
.
One last thing - If you would like to use any of my pics for F.A.G. or your personal tree or for some other personal reason then just ask for the ok. All my pics are copyright and I would like to know where they are going - Thanks.
