Mrs. Jones was active in civic and church affairs during most of her life. She was a member of the La Center Christian Church and was a charter member of both the La Center Homemakers Club and La Center Woman's Club.
On three occasions, Mrs. Jones traveled to Europe to serve as a delegate to the International Associated Country Women of the World. She also served as a delegate to the same group in Toronto, Canada. On her last trip abroad, Mrs Jones toured the Holy Land and represented her church at a religious assembly held there.
Mrs. Jones served 15 years as chairman of Ballard County Red Cross Drive. She also held the same position with the American Heart Fund and had served as chairman of many other civic events.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jones is survived by four sons, W.R. Jones of Kevil, Dr. T.R. Jones of Jasper, Tex., Jack Jones of North Manchester, Ind., and Jim Jones of La Center; a sister, Mrs. Doris Colvin of Bandana; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in La Center with the Rev. Bill Morris officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ormon Berry, David Colvin, Harold Jones, Troy Jones, Richard Burnley and Edwin Burnley.
Milner-Philips Funeral Home in Wickliffe in charge of arrangements.
