THE DEATH RECORD:
"Mrs Fred Rudy, of Schoeneck.
Mrs Amanda Rudy, nee Edwards, wife of Fred Rudy, died at her home, at Schoeneck, on Thursday forenoon, of last week aged 85 years, 3 months and 29 days. Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy, sustained a few days previous. She is survived by her husband and three daughters:Mrs. Agnes Kilhefner, at home; Susanna, wife of Peter Wealand, resid-on old homestead near Mellinger's Schoolhouse; and Sarah, wife of Michael B Mellinger, of Mt Airy. There are a number of surviving grandchildren and several great grand children; also one brother E.T. Edwards, and one sister Rebbecca, widow of the late Jacob Root, both of Schoeneck. The funeral was held from her home at Schoeneck, at 9:30 a.m. Monday, followed by services at 10 o'clock at Mellinger's church, near Schoeneck. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev D L Fogelman officiated and Funeral Director H M Mellinger had charge."
