RUBY R. HARRIS, age 87, of Middletown, OH, and formerly of Germantown, OH, passed away, Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Garden Manor, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rough Creek, Laurel County, KY, on September 16, 1928, to the late Corbett and Goldie (Williams) Hendrix.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Hershell M. Harris, Sr.; and 3 brothers, Charles, Daniel & Wallace Hendrix; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Beard, Marie Heitfield, Beatrice Gilreath and Katie Adams She is survived by her son Mike Harris; her daughter Judy Bishop; 6 grandchildren, Shelly (Bryan) McCharen, Dustin Bishop, Brian (Amy) Harris, Amy (Frederick Williams) Harris, Ashley (Mike) Powell, Michelle (Kody) Lyall; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Truman (Hazel) Hendrix, and Jim (Betty) Hendrix; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special recognition to her best friend, Bethel Turner and cousin, Lena Miller who gave her so much support and help.
