Larry Reed Cordell, 67, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the family residence. He attended Mount Olive Church of God. He was a retired employee with Olin. Larry loved fishing, hunting, singing but he loved his daughters and grandchildren the most.

Mr. Cordell is the son of the late John Oliver Cordell and Odessa June McAlpin Cordell and was also preceded in death by his sister, Frances Hardin and his brother, Grover Cordell.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jacquelin Simmons-Smith Cordell of Georgetown; two daughters: Michelle Cordell Ledford and Brittany Cordell Harmon and husband, Brett all of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Lauren Ledford of Chattanooga, Carolyn Ledford, and Julia Holt Ledford; siblings: Margie Brown, Alberta Stepp both of Cleveland, John William and wife, Linda Cordell of Hixson, Carroll and wife Beth Cordell of Lupton City, Ernest Ray and wife, Karen Cordell of Georgetown, Alvin and wife, Donna Cordell of Cleveland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clayton and Ann Smith of Dunlap; sister-in-law, Theresa Davis and husband, Scott of Signal Mountain; brothers-in-law, Johnny L. Smith and wife, Jill of Arkansas and Lamar Smith of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Sears and Pastor Paul Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Stanfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Georgetown. Mitchell Hardin, John Hardin, Jason Cramer, Michael Hopkins, Brian Hopkins and Jan Cannon will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Shell.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
