Penfield's Tragedy
The murder of Ezekiel Hewitt by a store keeper named Harmon at Penfield on Monday has caused great excitement in the Bennett's Branch region on account of the high social standing of both of the men. Hewitt was a brother of Mrs. Leahy, wife of ex-sheriff, W.J. Leahy, and of Mrs. W.J. King of Williamsport. The murdered man is survived by seven sons. His age was about fifty years.
