NATIONAL ZINC RETIREE DIES; RITES MONDAY
Phillip H. Rickman, 70, a resident of Bartlesville since 1944 and a Retiree of National Zinc Company died at 6:25 p.m. Friday in his home, 521 S. Penn after having suffered an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Estes as the officiant. Interment will be in the Nowata Cemetery.
Mr. Rickman was born in Pineville, MO., October 7, 1905 and was reared and educated in the Pineville area. He came to Bartlesville in 1925 at which time he was employed by National Zinc Company prior to his serving in the United States Army during World War II in the field artillery. He was honorably discharged in 1944 and married Lena in Bentonville Arkansas that same year.
They made their home in Bartlesville since that time where Mr. Rickman continued his service with National Zinc Company retiring in 1970. He was a member of the James E. Bailey Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 989, Bartlesville.
Survivors include Mrs. Lena L. Rickman of the home; one daughter, Mrs. J.A. (Eva) Stephenson, Mountain Home Arkansas; two sister Mrs. Alice Thomas of Bartlesville and Mrs. Esther Carnall of McCleary Washington; four brothers Clifford Rickman of Bartlesville, Clyde Rickman of Elgin Kansas, Pearl Rickman of Dallas Texas and Rex Rickman of Pineville Missouri and three grandchildren.
