Death came yesterday to a 100-year-old native of Germany, Mrs. Frederica Zimmer of Lewiston. Mrs. Zimmer died in a local nursing home. She had lived in Lewiston for the last 27 years.
Mrs. Zimer came to the United States in her early 20s and settled in Horseshoe Ben. She later moved to Cottonwood and then to Lewiston.

Mrs. Fredericka Zimmer, died Tuesday in a Lewiston, Idaho nursing home.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1847, in Wurtemberg, Germany. She moved with her family to Dwight, Ill when she was 23 years of age. She was married on March 10, 1874, in Dwight to Philip Zimmer, who died in Horseshoe Bend in 1926.
Mr. and Mrs. Zimmer came to Quartsberg in 1882. Two years later they homesteaded at Jerusalem, a farming community eight miles from Horseshoe Bend. They resided there until Mr. Zimmer's death.
In 1926, Mr. Zimmewr moved to Lewiston to make her home with her son, the late Carl Zimmer.
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Gunderson of Boise, 16 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Six of her seven children preceded her in death.
