Loren ‘Lorny’ Peck, Jr., 51, of Minneapolis, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014, in Minneapolis, MN. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Lorny was born on December 28, 1962, in Sioux City to Loren Sr. and Jean Peck. He attended North High School in Sioux City and was a proud graduate of the University of Iowa. Lorny lived for the moment, had an incredible smile and created memories where ever he went. Lorny was a loyal Iowa Hawkeye football fan, enjoyed time with his friends and family in Okoboji and the Lake of the Ozarks, and was incredibly proud of his daughter, Alec.

Lorny is survived by his beloved daughter, Alec Jo, and her mother, Darcie, of Champlin, MN; brothers David (Sherrill) Peck of Sioux Falls, SD, Charlie (Diane) Peck of Omaha, NE, and Greg (Donielle) Peck of Sioux City, IA; sister Cindy (Steve) Monell of Fort Collins, CO; 14 nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and special companion “Zoey”, Lorny’s German Shepard.

Lorny was preceded in death by his parents.
