HUSBAND'S Obituary:

Robert Feight "Bud" Findley

Robert F. "Bud" Findley, age 95, of Walnut Hills Retirement Home, Walnut Creek, Ohio passed away August 11, 2007. Robert was born January 31, 1912 in Millersburg, Ohio to his parents, the late, William Dallas and Florence (Feight) Findley. He moved to Canton in 1926 and was a 1930 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. He married Elizabeth Martin on July 12, 1935 and they recently celebrated their 72nd anniversary. Robert was the former Superintendent of the Canton Cemetery Association, operating and caring for both North Lawn and West Lawn Cemeteries. He was subsequently employed by the Timken Company from where he retired in 1981. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Blair. He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church since 1927 and was very active in the church serving in various capacities including elder, trustee, deacon and the Boy Scout Committee, until he moved to Walnut Creek in 1999. He was a member of the Edgefield AARP, and was an avid gardener, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Findley of Walnut Hills Retirement Home, two sons, William (Sandra) Findley of Waynesburg and David (Katherine) Findley of Millersburg. Three grandchildren, Micah (Kasey) Findley of Indiana, Elizabeth Findley of Millersburg and Thomas (Mary) Findley of Millersburg. Four great grandchildren, Cole and Mikayla Findley of Indiana and Quinn and Elise Findley of Millersburg. He was a kind and gentle man who will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church in North Canton, with Rev. Doug Patton and Rev. Eldon Trubee officiating. Friends may call one hour before the services at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to John Knox Presbyterian Church, 5155 Eastlake St. N.W., North Canton, Ohio 44720 or to First Presbyterian Church, 90 South Clay St., Millersburg, Ohio 44654. The Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
