SHERMAN—GALTON

The marriage of Miss Evelyn Sherman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wesley Sherman of this village to Theodore Galton of Nunda was solemnized Saturday evening, Mar. 22, at St. Paul's United Lutheran parsonage, by Dr. C. M. Marg. They were attended by the bride's parents. Following the ceremony, dinner was served to members of the families at the home of the brides parents, on Church Street Mr. and Mrs. Galton will reside in Nunda.

Theodore R. Galton

Theodore R. Galton, 72, of 2219 Coopersville Road, Nunda, died Tuesday, May 31, at Noyes Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Mt. Morris, he was a life long resident of the Nunda area. He retired from the Borden Milk Plant in Nunda in 1962.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Sherman Galton of Nunda; three sons, Paul of Hunt, Harold of Sonyea, and Charles at home; six daughters, Mrs. Mildred Spencer of Swain, Mrs. Rose Hatfield of Nunda, Mrs. Lucille Sargent of Gainesville, Mrs. Shirley Wilson of Silver Springs, Mrs. Nancy Pawk of Delevan, and Miss Beverly Galton of Sonyea; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bates, Mrs. Dorothy Perry, Mrs. Leona Rymer, and Mrs. Helen Dieter, all of Nunda; four brothers, John of Mt. Morris. Raymond of Cuylerville, and Howard and Burdette, both of Nunda; and 19 grandchildren.

The funeral was held at the Duryea Funeral Home Thursday, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Nunda.
