Beecher was a highly decorated honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army after faithfully serving his country during both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He will be greatly missed by those who truly knew him.
There to meet him at Heavens gates were his son, Gene Payne, Mom and Dad - Rosa and Gay Payne, sisters – Geneva Massey, Opal Payne, Barbara Payne, Brothers – Paul Payne, Jerry (JC) Payne and Dean Payne.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Donna Payne, Mitchell Payne, Linda Payne, Glenda Payne, Ronald Wilkerson and Greg Payne, brothers Ted Payne , Marion (Leota) Payne and Dale Payne. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, February 28th, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Coker Creek Church Cemetery in Tellico Plains, TN with full military honors.
"In Christ, there are no goodbyes and in Christ there is no end so I’ll hold onto Jesus with all that I have till I see you again".
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to your local American Legion in Beecher’s memory.
