Margaret Mayes was born in 1744 and died 13 Sep 1828. "Margaretha Mays, the daughter of James Mayes, married William Allen on 3 Jan 1765 in Hanover, PA," per transcription from Early Lutheran Baptisms and Marriages in Southeastern PA.

"Widow Ainsworth" was a church member 1813-1827; Samuel Ainsworth, 1795-1797; John Ainsworth, 1788-1812; Lazarus Ainsworth, 1796-1802 and James Ainsworth, 1797-1803. Historical Sketch of Old Hanover Church by Rev. Thomas H. Robinson, D.D. (1828-1906) With a Notice of the Church at Conewago, by A. Boyd Hamilton, Harrisburg, PA, Dauphin County Historical Society, 1878, p 25 and 30.

Their son Samuel married Margaret McEwen (born 1770), the daughter of Richard McEwen, on 10 May 1792, by Rev. James Snodgrass. They resided in Lancaster, Ohio, when she died 29 Oct 1867. Samuel died later in Philadelphia, in Feb 1798.
