Nancy "Agnes" Ainsworth was the daughter of John Ainsworth and Margaret Mayes. She was born on 8 Jan 1767. Rev. John Snodgrass married Nancy Ainsworth to William Allen on 18 Mar 1790, at Old Hanover Church. Her husband William and her parents John and Margaret are also buried here.

Her grandfather settled in Hanover Twp. (then Lancaster Co., PA) in about 1736 and her father John was born there shortly afterwards. In 1785, Hanover Twp., Lancaster Co., became Dauphin Co., PA.

Nancy Agnes Ainsworth, the daughter of John Ainsworth and Margaret Mayes, was "born 8 Jan 1767, and married William Allen." Her grandfather Samuel Ainsworth settled in Hanover township, Lancaster Co., PA in about 1736 and was on the first tax assessment in Hanover Twp. in 1751. John had a brother Lazarus who died in Mar 1777 and left his estate to brother John.
