Evelyn was of Baptist faith and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was employed for many years as a line worker at Rice Styx and Big Yank, and she retired from Holley Carburetor. Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed quilting, sewing, fishing and her beloved dog, Toby.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, with Bro. Fred Eakes officiating.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Howard S. True of Water Valley, MS; and her daughter, Pam Nichols and her husband, David of Water Valley, MS.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Vick; three sisters, Opal Pugh, Helen Mixon and Inez Nichols; and six brothers, Arlis Nichols, Joe Nichols, Clovis Nichols, Olen Nichols, Charles Nash Nichols and Noel Neut Nichols.
