Charles Nash Nichols, age 84, died Monday, February 1, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born in Tishomingo County, MS to the late J. D. and Lena Nichols, and worked for the U. S. Corp of Engineers as a welder. Nichols served in the U. S. Navy during WWII, and enjoyed spending his leisure time hunting and fishing.

Visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley on Monday, February 2, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM.

He is survived by his soul mate of 20 years, Martha Wilson; one daughter Mary Lou Smith and her husband Kynith of Bald Knob, AR; one son, Paul Nichols of Olive Branch, MS; four grandchildren, Sherrie Barrentine, Darren Miller, and Angela Davis, all of Bald Knob, AR, and Sandra Piker of Fouke, AR; and one sister, Evelyn True of Water Valley, MS.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlcie Tuggle of Bald Knob, AR; three sisters, Opal Pugh, Helen Mixon, and Inez Nichols; and five brothers, Arlis, Joe, Olen, Clovis, and Noel Nichols.
