Daryl Lewis Ferguson, 62, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016. He was born in Martinsville, VA on January 8, 1954 to Josephine Cannaday Ferguson and the late Junior Lewis Ferguson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Stephen Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson attended Fairview Baptist Church and Fieldale Collinsville High School. Daryl was a friend to everyone and loved to fish and hunt; he was an avid Ball player in his younger years. His daily routine was to walk around the block with the neighborhood dog “Curly Sue”.

He is survived by his mother, Josephine Cannaday Ferguson of the residence, son, Marshall Ferguson of Austin, TX, sisters, Susan Wickline of Collinsville, VA, Robin and husband Mike Hutchinson of Collinsville, VA and Pam Southworth of Houston, TX. He is also survived by two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2016 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Jerome Denny officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2016 at Norris Funeral Services and other times at the home. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn burial Park.
