Larry was a longtime resident of Farmington; he retired from Pratt & Whitney, E. Hartford, and was a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol, Conn.
Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed spending his time at the home he built in Belgrade Lakes. He was a Eucharistic Minister, the President of the St. Ann School PTA, and was very involved with bazaar dinners with the church.
Besides his wife, Larry is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Diane Doyon, of Bristol, Conn.; two daughters and sons-in-law: Laurie and Robert Lavoie and Cherie and Paul Hylan, all of Bristol; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Gerard, Richard and Grace, Bernard and Collete, and Armand Doyon, all of Maine; a sister, Yvette Bard, of Maine; six grandchildren: Jennifer Lavoie and her fiance Andrew Price, Tiffany and Cassandra Lavoie, Jonathan and Kimberly Hylan and Wyatt Doyon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers: Lawrence, Leon and Robert Doyon, and a sister, Irene Kidwell.
Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the Funk Funeral Home 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. (Central Maine Newspapers 1/26/2016)
