William Peter Dieperink Langereis, author and painter, was born in Paterson, New Jersey and relocated with his birth family from New Jersey to Kalamazoo, Michigan by 1900.

William registered for the draft in Grand Rapids on June 5, 1917. At that time, he listed his employer as the American Furniture Novelty Company, in Chicago, and his occupation as an artist.

William is a professional artist with a national reputation. He has, among other exhibitions in New York and St. Louis and his paintings adorn the walls of many homes in Utica (in New York). He lived many years in Milwaukee but moved in 1947 to Utica to recover from a lung disease. First he lives with his sister Anna Poel, then st in an attic apartment in Seneca., Where he has his studio. Many of his paintings are now in the possession of his nephews and Ann Clark Stewart, his cousin.
William always neatly dressed in overcoat and Ascot tie and spats. He also always wears a carnation in his lapel. At social gatherings he prefers martini cocktails. Elizabeth Warren's lyric soprano of any significance on the concert platforms in the eastern United States. She is a niece of Richard Crocker (with the fame of Tammany Hall).
