The couple had at least three daughters; Lucy (Lucina)(Heyboer), Elizabeth (Ghysels), and Suzanna (Scheele Velderman Borduin), and one son, Henry Jr, the latter having been born in 1871. It appears that Marchijn died at the time of, or shortly after, the birth of Henry and was interred in the Netherlands.
Henry Sr next married Anna Geluk (or Geluke) around 1871. Henry, Anna, and family relocated to the USA around 1887. The couple had at least six children*; Anna (Poel), Henrietta, Cornelia (Bolle), Adrianna (Van Haaften), Christina, and William; the latter two who were born in New Jersey. It appears at some point the family resided in Patterson, New Jersey, which is where their son, William, was born, but had relocated to Michigan by 1900.
NOTE: The 1900 census indicates that Anna was the mother of 10 children with 6 still living at that time
